Have called twice. Was on hold for 15 minutes only to be be disconnected.

Two months and still no refund.

I returned items two months ago and still have not received a refund. They keep telling me it's due to some server issue.

They owe me almost 400.00 dollars for the three items that I returned. I will never buy from this catalog again.

Sundance catalog used to have a moral compass

I was shopping for sweaters from the Sundance Catalog, of which I have been a customer for years. Pieces were made by local artisans and they proudly acknowledged who and where they were made.

However, the last four sweaters I looked at were made in China. How did the once highly respected brand, which had clearly sold to the highest bidder, start importing from countries they had ethical issues with in the past? Money over morals.

We have to, as a country, refuse to deal with China for goods. Tariffs in order to bring our manufacturing back to USA will be worth short term higher pricing.

We all need to support one another to get back to a strong economy. Good luck to all of you on this PissedCosumer.com site who have lost so much dealing with China.

Challenges getting a refund on a returned item

I purchased a leather purse that did not satisfy my needs. I could not obtain a return label through the online platform or via email.

No one responded to my email inquiry about this issue. I finally reached someone on the phone who promptly provided me a return label.

I sent the bag back; it has been delivered, but I have not received any communication from Sundance. Currently, I'm on hold awaiting an update on the status of the $200 refund I anticipate receiving (I've been waiting for 13 minutes and counting!).

It's quite disappointing, as I genuinely appreciate their products. However, I won't be engaging with them again, considering the dismal customer service I've experienced.

Every time I order from Sundance (70% of the time) the item is sold out or color sold out etc. if you happen to catch an item and it doesnt fit and you want an exchange-too bad - its been sold out - not that the items are expensive so youd think they would carry an inventory.

They dont its in and out and with catalogs weekly with new items you best be fast and well plan the item you love fits there is no exchange time because the return time sucks. This is the 29th of April and I just learned they are processing the 15th and 16th of month returns/exchanges so again there goes catching the item in your size or color or at all. Those catalogs are beautiful but have to be expensive to send out like they do so Im guessing the money to stock much inventory is eaten up by the catalog cost. Anyway the cost to order (shipping fee) then the cost, again, to process the return really sucks up a lot of money.

Im done with Sundance. The clothing items are now made in China as well and there are a lot of sites out there with

China as manufacturers. Sundance, I believed, was local and those other sites are cheap but the last blouse I ordered and kept cost 120.

And was as thin as other sites, I kept it in spite of that but each time I wear it Im more and more angry at myself for paying that much for a very thin fabric and made in china. I am so sad that Sundance has succomed to this because its initial startup was great.

User's recommendation: Buy elsewhere. Cheaper and shipping costs cheaper. Most other companies give break on dollar amount which Sundance does not. This blouse was 120. And made in china. The embroidery design is pretty but fabric very thin.

Gift Cards are a Waste to Buy at Sundance Catalog

I was given a gift card from Sundance for my birthday in February. I saved it to buy sweaters now during the sale.

I couldnt get the site to accept my gift card.

I left a message but got no call back so I chatted with them about it.

They said they couldnt accept my gift card because there was something wrong with their technology.

Really?

Well then how about hand looking it up and letting me buy the pieces I wanted during the sale?

There was no offer to help me.

As a big customer of Sundance Im very unhappy with their terrible customer service.

I dont feel appreciated as a customer at all. My advice is to not buy gift cards from Sundance.

And needless to say I didnt place an order during their sale.

My husband got me a gift certificate 500 years ago. Over and over, I have returned merchandise because it didn't fit right, or the shirts ordered were thinner than tissue paper.

I'm not exaggerating. I am tired of dealing with this company. The customer satisfaction rating for the company is 2.8.

That's deplorable. Shame on you, Bob Redford!

I ordered a gift 3 weeks ago. My sister has yet to receive it.

I tried to trace through PayPal as that is how I paid for item. Its impossible to get any information. I have called Sundance and all I get is a continually message "thank you for calling Sundance Catalog. All our agents are helping others.

We will be with you in a moment". Its 7:39 CST and I can't believe all agents are busy this early.

I give up! Won't buy from them again.

Their “server is down”, for 3 weeks now!! Dispute your CC charge, that’s seems the only way anyone will be getting any money back.

As a longtime Sudane Customer, I am dismayed and shocked at the sloppy service that has ensued as a result of the Catalog having been sold last Summer. Both the Website and Catalog are hollow lacking

NOT ABLE TO USE GIFT CARD!!!

It has been months now that they tell me they know they have a system problem and are working on it. I have had a gift card for Mother's day and cannot use it, even in the stores.

I was told some stores were closed, but I called mine and they are open yet unable to accept the gift card.

So, where did my husband's money go? I have loved the clothes, but this will be my last purchase if I am ever able to use my card.

Sundance Catalog - Bad quality

Purchased the Cloud Forest bracelet for my wife's birthday. Three months later, it started to delaminate where the adhesive used to fasten the strings of beads to the leather and the stacks of leather together.

My wife loved the bracelet. One would think $300 would buy quality crafted jewelry, my bad.

Wrote, yes actually wrote, a letter to corporate Sundance explaining the issues with pictures and recommendations.

Six more months and I have not heard anything. Good thing I get the mail, Sundance catalog goes directly to recycle.

Like many others I have been ordering from SD for many years I wd say DECADES now - clothing, outerwear, bedding, jewelry, gifts and more, and its sad for me but I think its time I said goodbye. truly sad.

They used to be so fantastic. Excellent Quality was almost guaranteed. Customer service was personable. Now all you get is someone working remotely from their living room with a crying baby in the background and they care NOTHING about you or your issues, just want their paycheck.

the shipping costs were always kind of high but you knew you were getting great quality so it was still worth it. i dont recall about the return fees but i know they charge that now and its pretty high and basically, at minimum, you end up PAYING THEM just to try on an item! and as many others have said it takes forever to receive items and forever to get a refund. Also many many times i will receive a garment and it looks nothing like it does in the catalogue or on line.

i ordered an expensive dress for a wedding and the lace and color looked so cheap! i sent it back. Sizing is all over the place as well, to the extreme of being SUPER large or way under sized. Last but not least they dont even take PayPal.

thats prob bc if they did they wd have them to answer to on all the return problems they seem to have. Like i said, I Really hate to leave them but its just not worth all the negative, time-consuming and expensive hassle.

Robert Redford founded this company and i believe its due to his age and that he probably stepped down now, so everything has just gone way down hill. VERY SAD BUT THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES!

I bought a very expensive dress, paid $20.00 shipping on a dress costing $600.00. It didn't fit, sent it back the very next day.

It's been a month, finally called yesterday and was told they just issued a credit on the day I called and it would be another 30 days before it shows on my credit statement. I threw a fit and they processed it today only to charge me a $35.00 fee for return shipping and processing!! I am finished with Sundance for clothing as nothing ever fits right and the 2 shipping fees are over the top! $20.00 shipping fees and 3 weeks to receive it!!

I just ordered some jeans from a company in California called AMO. Free UPS shipping and received them in 3 days. free return shipping if they don't fit! Be careful also with jewelry.

I paid on sale $400.

dollars for a aquamarine beaded necklace that I later found elsewhere for $150. They think way too much of themselves!!
